How to pack a parcel
- The right size. In packaging that is too big the item moves around, and shipping can cost more.
- Pad and hold it in place. A padded envelope already has the padding inside. In a carton, wrap the item in bubble wrap and fill the gaps, so it does not move when you shake the carton.
- Close it well. Courier bags and padded envelopes close with their own adhesive strip. Tape a carton along all its seams.
- Documents outside. The shipping document or invoice goes in a packing list envelope stuck on the parcel, so nobody has to open the package to read it.
- A clear address, with the recipient's name and phone number.
